Description:
Just as with in-person classes, online Zoom classes consist of discussion, technique warm-ups, color mixing, paint-along demonstrations, and critiques.  Usually, two painting projects are completed in each 6-week session.  Painting subjects vary widely and are constantly changing to cater to diverse student interests.  For example, in the last few sessions, students have painted a street scene, a study of Degas' "Dancers," a sailboat in a harbor, a roses and fruit still life, and a rustic barn landscape.   We work with brushstrokes but also experiment with other techniques, such as scraping, adding paint with palette knives, using old credit cards, lifting, stamping (with household items), and more.

*Students have access to reference photos and drawing guides.  Occasionally, a project will have students use their images, but with a common group theme, such as for portraits.  During classes, Judy uses Photoshop and shares her screen with class participants to demonstrate how to enhance paintings and offer suggestions.

Class sessions are recorded, so students who miss a class or two can access the instruction and catch up at their convenience.   Only registered students will have access to the recorded lesson.  Students may download the recordings for their own use if desired.  Please read the notice regarding the recordings below.

When you register for a class, your email address, along with confirmation of payment, will be forwarded from your PayPal transaction to Watercolor Designs, LLC.  That email address will be used to send the links you need for class.

If you have not received an email with your links 3 days before the first class, please email the instructor.
